Glendale, Arizona Achieves Dramatic Results with ROAM
In preparation for hosting Super Bowl XLII, the City of Glendale wanted to significantly reduce streetlight outages and improve the overall quality of lighting in areas of high visitor traffic. The City selected ROAM to not only assist them in addressing the current outage problem, but to also provide a sustainable lighting management solution that would continue to identify and reduce outages long past the initial outage reduction. Since the implementation of ROAM, the City of Glendale has realized the following results:
> Reduced streetlight outages from 20% to less than 1% > Reduced daily citizen call volume by 85%
"The near elimination of streetlight repair problems creates a positive feedback loop allowing our City staff more time to focus on other value added functions for which we are also reponsible."

New Orleans Chose ROAM as Their Total Streetlight Solution
In December of 2007, the City of New Orleans implemented the ROAM total streetlighting solution to remotely monitor and control street and area lighting assets, helping the City identify and resolve streetlight service needs. ROAM will provide status reports four times daily, or on demand, to City oversight administrators, reporting any service needs. The City is using ROAM in place of current night-time patrols, thus reducing operating costs and improving detection.
"It has been extremely difficult to identify one product that can reduce costs, leverage technology and be environmentally conscious simultaneously, but ROAM clearly fits that bill."
